GOODNIGHT, SWEET PRINCE...

Peggy: We have to wait until January because Fox touts the show as the ''non-stop'' season. That means they can't run it over Christmas because _everyone_ goes on hiatus at Christmas (as it's on Monday this year, it's a good thing).

I agree about Mondays spent anticipating the show. I used to do that on Fridays with _Joan of Arcadia_, but alas, no longer.

Rick: I agree about the two ''murders,'' (though Henderson definitely *meant* to kill him), but assuming Buchanan remains at CTU, I think they can deal. I think Buchanan, while sometimes appalled by it, realizes that Jack's utter ruthlessness is sometimes necessary.

I've been wondering if Audrey will think that he simply disappeared again. But on my second viewing, her distress at his vanishing seems real. I think she really knows that something awful happened to him.

Besides the ''big sister'' in season 2, I think Audrey is the best match for Jack. I can't remember that other gal's name, but she was one tough lady (sold out her sister when she found out she was bad).

THE AVENGER (PART II)

GW: When you said they'd drop Jack off on the island, my first thought was that you meant the one on _Lost_

Too bad it's another network. Talk about a twist for *both* shows!!

Rick was just kidding about final thoughts, right? (he's gonna ban me from his site :))

Okay, will forgive you *this* time :)

Rick!! What are you doing to us? It's 8:30 your time, which is early, but it's 9:30 my time which is well past "afternoon".

Where are your final thoughts?!

After all, I have to get up at 5:00 to get to work at the Eddie BAUER (any relation?) warehouse tomorrow. And then there's the 9-11pm finale of Lost....

You Central-timers really have it made for watching-TV-times.

I think it's obvious that Logan tipped off the heathen Chinee (a little TSE lingo there). He told Mr Big that he had plans for ''Mr Bauer.''

Jack's confrontation with the president Turned Out to be a setup, but I think he would've been happy with a confession right there too.

How will I get through the weeks until next January? Well, there's still season 3 that I haven't seen, but that'll only take a week or two....

CAREENING TOWARD THE FINALE

Rick: I was basing Jack's kill on the ''official'' episode guide from the Fox network. But then they're also the ones who gave me the name Victor when it's clearly Joseph (I watched my recording last night).

Steve: where's Heller? Probably in the hospital. I'm pretty sure Curtis said, in effect, he was badly hurt but would be okay.

Diamond: I remember Mission Impossible on TV very well. 24 is much better :) I love the complexity.

You asked wasn't Heller out? No, he never wrote the letter of resignation.

Mr Big was surprised to hear from Logan because he thought he'd (Logan) killed himself.

There is one other person alive (besides Logan) who is privy to the contents of the tape: Henderson !!

Doesn't everyone think that Novick will *finally* believe Martha, given the weird way Logan's been acting.

Okay, she couldn't let him kill him, but I think Granny should have let Jack slap Miles around a little just for being such a weasel. As James Potter said of Snape, it's mostly a matter that he exists than anything he might have done.

Hey! Jack got a kill. He got Victor Malina, Henderson's contact. Blew him away. Permanently violated his rights. Aced him. Like that.

THE OTHER SHOE DROPS

My skeptical hubby pointed out that Heller's car sank very, very quickly. He thinks Heller got out into the water through a window. Let's hope he can swim and his heart is in good shape.

I can't watch my recording until I get home tonight. Did anyone notice if his window was open before he went off the cliff.

Gawd, I love this show :)

5 MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT

Okay, like I don't know Chloe's last name is O'Brien.

Thanks again for a great summary. My patter has become Watch. Read Rick. Watch again (doesn't everyone record 24?).

Okay, I'm over 50 so maybe the memory is gone. Hall extension? I thought it was funny without knowing the joke...

Heller is indeed a stand-up guy. But how does he divert to Van Nuys AND keep it off the manifest in a post-9/11 world?

Has 24 ever killed a child (aside from the teen last year, I mean a little kid, and outside of general disasters)?

As to Jack's calm acceptance of the news of an arrest warrant, how many has he had, or just CTU's saying 'bring him in', in the past 4-1/2 seasons?

Audrey a mole?! I'll eat my Chloe Raines Garter Belt (told you I was over 50)
